Major Wall Street firms face criminal probe

Federal prosecutors in New York are conducting a broad criminal investigation into whether major Wall Street financial firms misled investors, a person familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

Federal prosecutions of corporations are usually a joke. The U.S. always fines the companies and may throw one guy in jail who is backed up by a lot of other people who were just as guilty but not prosecuted. These prosecutions are equivalent to a cop catching a bad guy robbing a bank and then letting him go if he splits the loot. The companies plan for the pay off all the time although they will never officially admit this. Corporations are considered people by the government. They can’t vote but a many large corporations own the politicians so they don’t need a vote. Real people are second class citizens from a U.S. politician’s point of view.
